KONDOR BLUE has acquired Element Filters and is now expanding into professional optical filtration.

According to KONDOR BLUE, this acquisition represents a strategic investment to bring optical expertise, supply chain infrastructure, and production-tested filtration technology fully in-house, allowing the company to accelerate into optical products with proven technology while eliminating the typical years of trial and error required to develop high-performance filtration systems from scratch. All intellectual property, manufacturing relationships, and product lines transfer with the deal, positioning the company to rapidly scale a new filtration vertical under the KONDOR BLUE brand.
The acquisition comes after the successful collaboration between the two companies, the co-branded Opaline Diffusion Filter series, designed as an ideal companion for KONDOR BLUE’s matte box. Available in 4×5.65″ in 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, and 1/16 strengths, the line has since expanded to include threaded versions of the unique diffusion.
The acquisition includes proprietary filter formulations and product lines, including more diffusion and full-spectrum neutral density filters currently in development. Customers can expect an expanding lineup designed to meet the same standards of durability, performance, and value that define KONDOR BLUE.
KONDOR BLUE states that they are committed to owning every layer of the camera build, expanding beyond rigging and power into optical tools while maintaining full ownership and operational control across product categories.
The first wave of new filtration products is expected to launch in 2026, with additional announcements to follow.
