SIGMA has announced the development of the 28-45mm T2 FF & 28-105mm T3 FF AF Cine Zooms, the first two lenses in a new AF Cine Line.
The Sigma 28-45mm T2 FF will be available in November 2025, and the Sigma 28-105mm T3 FF will come in Spring 2026. The lenses will be available in Sony E and Leica L mounts. There is no current indication of pricing.
We first saw a prototype of the 28-45mm T2 AF at IBC 2024.
According to Sigma, the new zooms build on the optical system of the Art lenses, and they offer exceptional rendering performance, along with high-precision autofocus with excellent tracking capabilities.

Inheriting the rendering performance and reliability of Sigma’s Art lenses, the AF Cine Line integrates cinema-style mechanics and operability, optimized for professional cinema production. They feature a limited-rotation focus ring, industry-standard 0.8M pitch gears, and a clickless aperture ring.

Sigma 28-45mm T2 Cine Zoom Lens with AF

Based on the popular 28-45mm F1.8 DG DN Art lens, the 28-45mm T2 Cine Zoom Lens with AF, is a zoom lens for full-frame cinema cameras that also features autofocus. It features a 28-45mm zoom with a 1.4x magnification ratio and T2 to T16 aperture range, and it has a switch that changes the lens from manual to autofocus in a snap. Its 11-blade aperture provides a soft bokeh for a dramatic cinema look.
The 95mm front outside diameter is compatible with numerous industry-standard matte boxes, and it accepts 86mm screw-on filters. A 1/4″-20 thread allows you to utilize optional lens mounts for a stable setup. Markings in both feet and meters make it compatible with a wide variety of productions.
