Earlier this year Leitz Cine completed an extensive test of their wide array of lenses, and that footage is now available online as a tool that allows cinematographers and filmmakers to compare up to 4 different lenses on a single screen.
The test features lenses from 7 different sets of Leitz prime lenses as well as the Leitz Zooms series. Directed by Jay Holben and shot by Kaity Williams, this test was designed to capture a scene with multiple characters as well as camera movement that incorporates many of the lens features that cinematographers look at when choosing lenses for a new project, including: close focus, distortion, usable circle of illumination, skin tones, bokeh, flare and more.
Users can select from a variety of focal lengths and apertures to get a true sense of what unique features each series of Leitz lenses has to offer.
