The new Laowa Argus T1 Cine Series consists of 8 lenses that are spread across three different image formats. Laowa is touting that the Argus T1 Cine series are world’s first Full-Frame ultra-fast T1 aperture cine lens series with a 28mm and 35mm.

According to Laowa, the Argus T1 Cine series have been meticulously designed to deliver exceptional optical performance. The lenses are claimed to minimize chromatic aberration, ensuring contrast and sharpness even when shooting wide open at T1 aperture.

All the lenses in the series are claimed to feature minimal focus breathing. They are also said to have very good minimum focusing capabilities.

Every focal length within the Argus T1 Cine Series is said to deliver consistent color rendition and lens performance.

The lenses feature 0.8 pitch gears on the aperture and focus rings, a 77mm filter thread, and a 80mm front diameter.

Laowa Argus T1 Cine Series is currently available to purchase via Venus Optics official website (https://laowacine.com/) and authorized resellers. 

The Laowa Argus T1 Cine Series is priced at $1,499 USD per lens and $3,999 USD for a 3-lens bundle set in Full-Frame format.

In Super35 format, each lens costs $899 USD (3-lens bundle set: $2,399 USD), while in MFT format, each lens is priced at $699 USD (2-lens bundle set: $1,259 USD).
