Tilta has unveiled its new Sony BURANO Camera Cages and accessories. The Tilta camera cages for the Sony BURANO are available in the following versions:
- Full Camera Cage Plus for Sony BURANO
- Camera Cage for Sony BURANO Basic Kit
- Camera Cage for Sony BURANO Advanced Kit
Along with the cages, Tilta also has a vast array of other accessories that you can combine with the kits.
Full Camera Cage Plus for Sony BURANO
This is the cage that that all three versions are based on.
This Full Camera Cage provides protective armor for the camera body and accommodates mounting various accessories to improve the camera’s functionality.
This Camera Cage features a variety of mounting points including ARRI Standard Rosettes, 15mm Rod Holders, 1/4″-20 threads and 3/8″-16 threads, both with locating points.
The ARRI Standard Rosettes are positioned to be identical to the ones on the original camera body and are compatible with the original control handle.
The 15mm Rod Holder can be mounted onto the Top Plate or the Side Arms which offer flexible options for lens control motors, as well as lens supports, and vertical camera configurations.
The included 15mm LWS Baseplate and Dual 15mm Rods adds allows users to mount rod based accessories such as matte boxes and follow focus systems while the bottom of this baseplate connects to the Tilta Dovetails and features 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads.
This cage also includes a side mounting plate that supports height and angle adjustments. It can be secured to multiple mounting points on the Top Plate to help extend this plate’s functionality.
The Top Plate also features a dedicated slot for the camera’s original Top Handle. The included Top Handle offers various mounting points and improves options for handling the system.
Also included is the Multi-Functional Mini Tool Kit, a compact, durable, and versatile tool set designed for camera cages and support systems, featuring six universal tools.
The camera cage is constructed with 7000 series high functioning aluminum alloy, which is lightweight and durable.
The Full Camera Cage Plus for Sony BURANO is now available to pre-order for $593 USD up until the 16th of February. It is expected to start shipping in four weeks.
Camera Cage for Sony BURANO Basic Kit
The Camera Cage for Sony BURANO Basic Kit includes everything you get in the Full Camera Cage Plus for Sony BURANO with the addition of a Rotatable EVF Bracket.
The Rotatable EVF Bracket allows for greater flexibility when tilting and rotating the camera’s Electronic Viewfinder. This Bracket mounts to the Top Handle included with Tilta’s Full Camera Cage for Sony BURANO via a 15mm Rod Mount, as well as the BURANO’s original Top Handle.
The other end of the bracket features a mount for the camera’s EVF which can tilt and rotate in order to better position the viewfinder. This mount is also able to be adjusted closer or further to the rod mount in order to accommodate various configurations.
The Camera Cage for Sony BURANO Basic Kit is now available to pre-order for $629 USD up until the 16th of February. It is expected to start shipping in four weeks.
Camera Cage for Sony BURANO Advanced Kit
The Camera Cage for Sony BURANO Advanced Kit features everything you get in the Camera Cage for Sony BURANO Basic Kit with the addition of a Battery Plate that has additional power outputs that adapts to the BURANO’s V-Mount Battery Plate.
This plate is available in either Gold Mount or V-Mount.
This Battery Plate includes the following power outputs:

- (1) P-Tap Port (14.8V 3.8A)
- (1) USB-C Port ( PD3.1 65W )
- (1) 3-Pin Fischer Lemo (24V 3 A)
