The integration allows users to connect external HDMI or SDI sources such as mirrorless cameras and camcorders to their iPhones and iPads via cable and stream via CameraFi Live. In addition, users can live switch output from a camera connected via the SeeMo and the internal cameras of the iPhone or iPad. This essentially creates a mini-studio experience with minimal hardware. The video coming in from the SeeMo can also be recorded to the iOS device from inside the CameraFi Live app.
To connect a camera to CameraFi Live you simply attach a couple of cables and the HD video feed will automatically display in the CameraFi Live app. From here it can be streamed just as simply as if it were using the iPhone’s own camera lenses. The user can then choose between the iOS device’s cameras and the SeeMo input by clicking a button at the bottom of the screen, or alternatively by swiping left and selecting the source from the menu.
What is CameraFi Live?
CameraFi Live is already well known for high-quality streams from iPhones and iPads, with added effects and real-time editing, direct to platforms like YouTube, Facebook and Twitch. Images, text, scoreboards, subtitles and animations can be overlaid on live videos right inside the app on an iOS device. As a result, CameraFi Live is commonly used for streams where a professional appearance is required, especially for sports, news, shopping and seminars.
