At NAB 2023, Z Cam released the ZOLAR Vega 80C 2 x 1′ LED Panel. The new fixture packs a lot of punch and uses the same engine they have in the other ZOLAR lights. Matt did a review of the ZOLAR and he was very impressed with the color accuracy and overall performance of the ZOLAR fixture.
The new ZOLAR Vega 80C panel features the same full RGBAW color engine and CCT range of 2,000-20,000K as the current Vega 30C but in a larger 2×1’ form. Kinson stated the panel is a bit larger than a 2×1.
The power consumption is 1000 watts however, with the lens array, Kinson states it doubles the output, so it’s more like a 2000-watt fixture. At 3 meters, they state it outputs 5600 lux. That is bright! The lens array gives it approximately a 60-degree beam angle.
With a bright light, you will have to deal with a lot of heat and Z Cam states they have designed the fixture to keep it cool without excessive fan noise.
Z Cam is also developing modifiers for the ZOLAR Vega 80C, such as soft boxes, grids, and barn doors. The fixture also has Lumenradio and DMX control.
Price and Availablity
The ZOLAR Vega 80C will retail $2,999.00 and is scheduled for delivery mid-May.
