Venus Optics has unveiled the new Laowa 20mm f/4 Zero-D Shift. As well as providing an ultra-wide angle of view, the lens is claimed to deliver incredible sharpness with close-to-zero optical distortion.
A ±11mm shift amount on full-frame (±8mm on Medium Format) allows photographers or videographers to have maximum control over the perspective of their images. The lens comes with a rotatable lens hood for avoiding flare and protecting the front lens element.
A specially designed optional lens support allows users to do high-res stitching.

The optical design of the lens consists of 16 elements in 11 groups with 2 aspherical elements and 3 ED elements. This is claimed to effectively limit chromatic aberration and provide consistent image sharpness from the center to the edge.
The Laowa 20mm f/4 Zero-D Shift also supports capturing very close objects with a 25cm minimum focusing distance. The lens also has a 82mm front filter thread.
The 360° rotatable lens hood shades the front of the lens. It can also be adjusted to avoid blocking the image during extreme shifts.
