Core SWX has announced two new accessories. The first is the Micro Hotswap Adapter and the second is a Micro plate for the Sony FX6.

Micro Hotswap Adapter

The Micro Hotswap Adapter is available in either V-mount or Anton Bauer Gold Mount.

The Micro Hotswap Adapter is a micro form factor Hotswap Shark-fin adapter that mounts directly to the existing v-type or Annton bauer Gold Mount (depending o the version you choose) plate on the camera.

It allows for continuous battery operation, and the ability to power additional accessories through an integrated powertap.

Since the batteries aren’t ‘stacked’ on one another, you can easily remove the depleted battery while leaving the other battery connected so that there is no downtime or need for you to turn your camera or equipment off.

Core SWX recommends putting the second battery on about 10 minutes after the first battery.

Sony PXW-FX6 Micro Plate

The Micro Plate mounts directly to the back of the Sony PXW-FX6. It is available in either V-Mount or Anton Bauer Gold Mount.

It has a 19.5v DC output with a visual low battery warning LED and a DC barrel input (OEM camera power supply) for hot-swapping between external and on-board power. In addition, it’s equipped with a PowerTap and USB to power additional accessories. A USB firmware update port on the rear ensures future compatibility with camera firmware updates.

Up to a BP-U100 battery pack fits inside of the battery cavity on the camera, allowing the user to hot-swap batteries. Once the battery dies, it will automatically pull power from the BP-U battery and you will see the battery indicator on the viewfinder change.
