Canon has announced the CJ20ex5B BCTV zoom lens. The CJ20ex5B expands Canon’s range of 4K broadcast lenses for 2/3-inch sensor cameras.
The lens features a focal range of 5.0-100mm (10-200mm with optical extender), which makes it suitable for a wide range of applications including END, EFP, and sports productions. The CJ20ex5B now gives Canon 12 portable lens options and six box-type lenses in its 4K BCTV line-up.

The CJ20ex5B is compatible with cameras that support chromatic aberration correction for BT.2020 color gamut.
The lens tips the scales at 4.85 lbs (2.2kg). It is equipped with a 16-bit absolute value encoder that can read out highly accurate positional information of each lens settings, including zoom focus and iris without initializing the lens. Its 3 x 20pin connectors enable the lens to read out information even when using the zoom and focus controllers at the same time.
