At Cinegear 2018, P+S Technik was showing their new line of Technovision Classic 1.5x anamorphic lenses.
The aim of these lenses was to replicate the vintage Technovision anamorphic lenses for modern formats. The lenses cover full format without vignetting. The sample film below was shot using the new ARRI Alexa LF.
The complete line up consists of 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm and 135mm primes and 35-70mm and 70-200mm zoom lens.
Since the lenses have an anamorphic front element, the lenses produce the typical anamorphic look with horizontal streaks and oval bokeh.
Currently, only the 35-70mm lens is available. The 70-200mm zoom is expected to be available at the end of the year with the prime lenses to follow early in 2019.
The lenses have a PL mount but are interchangeable to other mounts with the P+S IMS (interchangeable mount system).
