Free VideoMicro for My RØDE Reel entry in May and ‘Bugged’ Short Film release

In December last year, RØDE Microphones launched their My RØDE Reel 2018 campaign with a twist by giving creatives the opportunity to film their own script as RØDE’s annual short film example for the competition.

The winner was Dawson Heistad from Canada who was flown to Sydney in April 2018 where the short film ‘Bugged’ was filmed.

Joining the in-house production crew at RØDE was also Clara Chong & Ben Allan ACS from Main Course Films. A series of behind-the-scenes videos will be released over the next few weeks that will accompany the main film as an educational component.

With a massive $1,000,000 in prizes up for grabs in 30 prize categories, it’s worth a shot.

To get started, you can download the free My RØDE Reel entry pack which includes a few pre-production templates like a storyboard and script and the title card to add to the beginning of your videos. Competition sponsor MZed has offered a free copy of Philip Bloom’s hour-long lesson on Visual Storytelling (valued at $79 USD) from his Cinematic Masterclass for everyone that downloads the entry pack, to help with your storytelling fundamentals if needed.

Free VideoMicro Offer for May

As an extra bonus, RØDE is offering a free VideoMicro when you submit an entry into one of the four selected categories by May 31.
