Venus Optics has announced four new and unique Laowa camera lenses. All four lenses will be available for viewing at the upcoming Beijing P&E Imaging Fair.
Laowa 10-18mm F/4.5-5.6 FE Zoom
Made for Sony E-Mount, this will be the widest full-frame zoom lens available going from 10-18mm. The lens is quite compact at less than 10 inches long and weighing only 1.1lb. A rear filter slot can accommodate 37mm filters and the aperture has a toggle to go from click to clickless.
Laowa 100mm F/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO
The second in the Laowa macro 2:1 magnification line up following the 60mm. The lens can cover full-frame and has an APO element similar to Sony’s 100mm STF lens. It will be available in Canon EF, Nikon, Pentax K & Sony FE mounts.
Laowa 17mm F/4 GFX Zero-D
This 17mm F/4 lens is designed for the Fujifilm G-mount, currently found on the medium format GFX 50S. It will be the widest native lens option available and gives a field of view equivalent to 13mm in 35mm format. It has close-to-zero distortion and a 86mm filter thread.
Laowa 4mm F/2.8 Fisheye MFT
With a 210-degree field of view, the 4mm F/2.8 Fisheye MFT lens delivers a unique perspective. It only weighs 0.3lb and is made for micro four-thirds cameras. It may be a good choice for 360 and VR camera applications.
