Photokina 2016: Shootools Autopan gives any slider motorised panning

At the Photokina show Italian company Shootools were demonstrating an improved version of their Autopan device they showed in prototype form at NAB earlier in the year. It is a rotating head that you fit to your slider carriage, with a cable that tethers to one end of the slider. The best feature is that it will work with practically any slider up to 3m long. The version shown at Photokina is slightly smaller than the original prototype and has wi-fi control for setup.

You use a keypad on the device to set the start and end points of your move and the angle you want the head to be at at each end. Then you move the slider by hand from one end to the other. As the slider moves the head will rotate.
