Shape unveil Follow Focus Pro

Canadian company Shape have just announced the new Follow Focus Pro. Part of their Shadow Series the key feature is an adjustable arm which the gear system is attached to. The arm allows for optimal positioning of the gear on the lens, no matter what size diameter the lens has. It features a 0.8mm pitch gear that comes with either 28 or 43 teeth – depending on the focus throw distance of the lens. It can be used with geared cine lenses or stills lenses fitted with a follow focus gear. The follow focus is also fully reversible in case you want to mount it upside down or use a Nikon lens that focusses the opposite direction to the norm.

It has a clamp-on quick release mount that fits standard 15mm rods. This allows for rapid attachment and removal. There are also adjustable focus markers that have hard stops for precise focus pulls between two objects.
