BIRTV 2013: Tilta launch 70-200 and 80-200mm lenses cine converted with PL mount from Dan Chung on Vimeo.

Chinese company Tilta have branched out from just making camera rigs to other products this year. Along with their wireless follow focus we previously featured they were also marketing PL modified stills zooms at this year’s BIRTV show in Beijing.

There are two options soon to be available. Both have a PL mount, are rehoused and fully geared but one is based on a Canon 70-200mm f2.8 mkI and the other a Nikon 80-200 f2.8 D lens. The Canon based lens is larger than the Nikon one but is also lower priced. The optical quality remains the same as the original lens so what matters is how much you need a manual iris and more accurate manual focus.
