Tilta announce rig for the Sony F5/F55

Tilta are one of the first rig manufacturers to announce a rig designed specifically for the upcoming Sony F5 and F55 cameras. The design of Sony camera bodies are already pretty operator friendly, but the Tilta rig increases the mounting options considerably and adds Arri style rosettes for easy mounting of grip handles. It also allows 15m rods to be added on top and below the camera.

According to their sales team it will be available to buy next month – probably before you can buy the camera itself.

Here is the press information from Tilta:
“The whole rig includes 15mm lightweight baseplate with Arri standard rosette, lightweight dovetail plate, camera protection cage, top plate, NATO slide on top handle(with SONY EVF adaptor). Tilta is also developing a new lightweight baseplate with built-in shoulder pad. The 15mm baseplate on the F5/F55 rig can be used on 19mm baseplate. The estimated retail price will be around $1108 US”
