Hollyland LARK M3

Hollyland has announced the LARK M3, the latest iteration of its LARK compact wireless microphone system series. The Hollyland LARK M3 could be used for interviews, multi-person shoots, and other applications where a quick and easy wireless audio system is required.

The LARK M3 platform supports up to four transmitters and four receivers, with one receiver able to connect to as many as four transmitters and one transmitter able to pair with up to four receivers simultaneously. Transmitters and receivers can also be added or removed during a shoot without interrupting ongoing audio capture.

You can choose from kits that come with up to four TX units and two RX units, or two TX units and four RX units, depending on your requirements.

The LARK M3 can record up to 48 kHz / 32-bit float on iOS devices and 24-bit recording on Android. Four isolated tracks can be captured by connecting the USB-C receiver to a computer or mobile device and using compatible recording software. Mono and stereo modes are also available for simpler setups.

In multi-receiver configurations, the first connected receiver operates as the Primary Receiver, providing system control and real-time transmitter status monitoring, while Secondary Receivers monitor transmitter status without access to system adjustments.

Gain can be adjusted across six levels on the USB-C Receiver through the app. Transmitters can be muted individually from their onboard buttons, while the app can mute individual or all transmitters. Triple-pressing a transmitter button starts recording, and indicator lights can be controlled from the app.

The system can be used anywhere in the world as it operates in the 2.4 GHz frequency spectrum. Hollyland claims a transmission range of up to 1000′ / 304.8m in open, unobstructed environments without interference. It also incorporates an RF-interference-resistant circuit for use in signal-dense environments.

The LARK TX units feature a claimed 70 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 125 dB maximum SPL. Hollyland’s HDT wireless technology is claimed to provide 50% faster transmission to carry more audio data, while AI noise cancellation suppresses transient and continuous background sounds.

There are three adjustable noise cancellation levels (10, 15, and 20 dB) and Auto-Limit Clip Protection that balances excessive volume levels to help maintain stable, clear audio. Built-in voice processing provides one-tap vocal enhancement with de-essing, plus eight vocal presets for different voices and recording situations. Presets can also be fine-tuned in the app and compared with the original audio, and each transmitter can use its own independent preset.

Each LARK 3 TX unit weighs just 9g / 0.31 oz and features a round button-size design. You can clip on the TX units or use magnetic mounting. The included charging and storage cases accommodate transmitters, receiver, cable, and windshields.

Internal rechargeable batteries power the RX units for up to 8 hours and the TX units for 9 hours. The charging case supplies up to two full recharges. The system also supports continuous USB-C-powered operation, Apple MFi certification for iOS devices, and playback without unplugging.
