Flanders Scientific and Pomfort are bringing four-camera live grading to XMP series monitors. Pomfort Livegrade 7.2 adds four simultaneous LUT channels for streamlined multi-camera grading, quad-view monitoring, and independent processed outputs.
The integration combines Livegrade’s look-management tools with the four SDI inputs and built-in image processing of XMP Series monitors. Each camera can be assigned an independent look in Livegrade, with LUT processing performed directly within the monitor instead of through separate external LUT boxes.
All four LUT-processed camera feeds can be displayed simultaneously using the monitor’s quad-view mode, giving DITs and live grading operators a compact overview of a multi-camera production. Operators can also switch from quad view to a full-screen view of an individual input when closer evaluation is required.
Each LUT channel has a corresponding dedicated processed monitor output. The four graded images are therefore available both on screen and from their respective processed outputs for downstream monitors. XMP Series monitors also retain four clean loop-through outputs, providing eight SDI outputs in total across clean and processed paths.
This collaboration reduces the equipment and cabling normally required for multi-camera live grading. A single XMP Series monitor can serve as the central reference display, a four-channel LUT processing device, and a source for independently graded downstream monitoring, which is especially useful for compact DIT carts, mobile productions, and space-constrained sets.
Livegrade connects to the XMP monitor over a network connection and stores each channel’s LUT in the corresponding monitor LUT position. The integration requires Livegrade 7.2 or later and XMP firmware version 3.2.10 or later.
XMP quad-view operation supports four signals of the same frame rate without requiring external genlock synchronization between the sources. Together with independent LUT control and dedicated clean and processed outputs, the integration creates a lean, flexible workflow for monitoring and managing up to four graded camera feeds from one display.
Pomfort Livegrade 7.2 is available now. The four-channel XMP integration requires XMP firmware version 3.2.10 or later and is also available.
