SmallRig’s new Nano36 and Nano72 Power Banks were designed specifically for photographers, videographers, and content creators. They feature a form factor that is very similar to some of their V-mount camera batteries.
According to SmallRig, traditional consumer power banks are mainly designed for everyday charging and often lack the mounting flexibility needed for camera-related workflows. To solve this, the Nano Power Bank series combines portable charging with SmallRig’s modular accessory ecosystem. Featuring built-in 1/4″-20 threaded holes and dedicated V-mount plates, the series allows users to attach portable power to their camera and equipment setups.
The Nano Power Bank series includes two models, the Nano36 and Nano72.
Nano36
The Nano36 Power Bank features a retractable 27.6″ USB-C cable with a mini V-mount design. It delivers an output of 45W, recharges via a 30W input, and is equipped with multiple 1/4″-20 screw holes and positioning holes on the back, which allow for a metal plate to be secured via 1/4″-20 flathead screws for V-mount mounting.

It also features a blue TFT color smart display for monitoring real-time info that includes the battery level, power output, and battery health, plus short-circuit, overcurrent, overvoltage, over-temperature, and undervoltage protections.
The design of the Mini V-mount power bank consists of a replaceable V-mount plate and a retractable cable power bank. The power bank is equipped with a V-mount ecosystem mounting capability (via the replaceable V-mount plate).
The built-in 27.6″ retractable cable uses a pull-to-use, release-to-retract mechanism. While an integrated cable means you always have it on hand, if it breaks, then you are in trouble.
The detachable V-mount plate allows the Nano to be mounted just like a V-mount battery. It can then be used as a universal power bank by removing the V-mount plate, and it can also be used with other quick-release components to support magic arms and crab clamps, etc.
Nano72
The Nano72 Power Bank is a higher-capacity option with a 20,000mAh / 72Wh capacity, supporting 100W input and 100W output. It features the same integrated cable design and mounting capabilities as the Nano36. Both models use Changhong Sanjie 21700 battery cells.
Users can mount the Power Bank onto tripods or quick-release systems. For camera video production, including meetings, events, and wedding photography, the Nano series can be integrated with cameras, wireless microphones, tripods, stabilizers, cages, and other accessories.
