SWIT has announced its new Mini-150B 150W Mini Bowens COB-LED Light that we first saw as a prototype at NAB 2026 back in April.

Compact lights in this form factor have become increasingly popular due to their small form factor, high output, and ability to be run via a flight-safe battery.

The Mini-150B is a palm-sized 150W bi-color COB-LED light featuring a Mini Bowens mount. It has a claimed output of 24,000 lx @ 1m / 3.3, CRI Ra 98 color rendering, on-board V-mount battery support, convenient USB-C power input, and smart device app control.
The Mini-150B delivers full 150W in Turbo mode with a V-mount battery (voltage above 13V) and sustains a constant 110W in Continuous mode. Most 150W-class lights in this size class can’t run at full power from a battery at all; this one can.
The light features a very compact 103 x 103 x 124 mm-sized body. SWIT doesn’t list how much it weighs. Its Mini Bowens modifier ecosystem, onboard control panel, Bluetooth app workflow, and flexible power design make it a good choice for studio, location, and small-space production setups.
As I previously mentioned, with the standard reflector, the Mini-150B is claimed to deliver up to 24,000 lx @ 1m / 3.3, a 2700K-6500K CCT range. CRI Ra 98, TLCI 98, and SSI (D55) 73 scores. It also has Linear, Log, Exponential, and S-Curve dimming curves.
Mini-150B is equipped with a silent fan and thermal design, which SWIT states supports 7 x 24-hour stable full-power output. In noise-sensitive environments such as livestreaming, users can manually adjust fan speed or turn the fan off completely for silent operation when needed. This can be done using the multi-level fan control (Auto / High / Medium / Low) plus a fan-off whisper mode (max 30W draw).
The fixture features an on-board display that provides quick access to dimmer, color temperature, light effects, system settings, battery level, and fan status.
The SWIT Console app for iOS and Android connects via Bluetooth and provides CCT/EFF modes, group control for multiple lights, and system settings.
As far as powering is concerned, the Mini-150B features an on-board V-mount plate for direct battery power, and there is a USB-C power input that supports 15V/20V/28V. Having the ability to run the fixture at 100% output from a flight-safe battery makes it a good option for anyone who travels and needs to work without mains power.

The fixture uses a Mini Bowens mount that gives users wide access to compact light-shaping tools while keeping the complete kit small. The standard kit includes a light stand install bracket, Mini Bowens reflector with diffusing cover, and Mini to Standard Bowens adapter.
It is nice that there is an included Mini to Standard Bowens adapter, as users are likely to already own modifiers.
Optional accessories include the BA-D45M 45 cm Mini Bowens quick-open softbox and UC-150 AC to USB-C 150W power adapter.

I don’t have any pricing information, but back at NAB, SWIT said that the SWIT Mini-150B should be around $229 USD.
