The Kase Revolution Ring is a new accessory designed to streamline the use of magnetic filters for photo and video use.
The whole concept of the system is that you can use a single magnetic filter set across multiple lens sizes. It is designed for use with lenses that have a 67–82mm front filter diameter.
Instead of having to screw filters on and off, it is claimed to offer a much faster solution.
You press the top and bottom latches of the revolution ring inward to retract the movable sliding tabs. You then hook the tabs onto the internal threads on the front of the lens. After the revolution ring fits closely to the lens, you release the latches to lock it securely.
The ring features a lightweight aluminum construction. Its slim, inlaid design is claimed to help minimize vignetting by sitting closer to the lens.
The Revolution Ring is equipped with a 4-point locking system, so even when stacking multiple filters, it supports one-handed operation.
It also supports the Kase magnetic armour holder. Once magnetically attached, square filters can be installed.
