Pipe Lighting PixelMat

pipe light

Pipe Lighting is teasing PixelMat, a new flexible lighting system for use on film sets, in studios, and in virtual production environments.

PixelMat was developed as a fast-deploy softbox system, and it combines a high-output RGBWW light with an ultra-thin, flexible form factor. According to Pipe Lighting, unlike traditional panels or rigid frames, it can be integrated directly into the set, mounted to ceilings, wrapped around structures, or used inside frames. This allows users to shape light in spaces where conventional fixtures cannot be used.

The fixture features pixel mapping capabilities, a wide CCT range of 2100–17000K, and wireless control via CRMX, DMX, and Bluetooth. PixelMat has IP67 protection and passive cooling, so it can operate silently.

PixelMat is available in multiple configurations, including:

  • PixelMat 42 / 2×42
  • PixelMat 82 / 2×82 / 4×82

The flagship PixelMat 4×82 delivers high-output soft light while maintaining a lightweight and modular design, with panels that can be used individually or combined into larger lighting surfaces depending on the setup.

PixelMat will be displayed at Cine Gear Expo LA 2026 (booth S3018), taking place on June 5–6 at the Universal Studios Lot.
