cineAKS is showing a prototype of its upcoming Handheld Support. It looks to be similar to an EasyRig, etc., and it is designed to make handheld operating easier on your back and shoulders.
cineAKS has been load testing it with 8kg and 16kg kettlebells, and the rig is still in version V00, but the prototype looks promising.
The camera built in the video weighs 9.2kg / 22.28lb, and it still provides plenty of inertia for good, steady shots.
The pulley system allows users to have a very long run of elastic rubber. The purpose of this is to significantly extend the sweet spot of the bungee so that booming the full length of your arms is no problem.
The height can be adjusted so that it is lower than head height, which is important for getting through doors if you are tall. This height can be a problem with solutions from EasyRig.
Initially, the project was done as a DIY setup, but it’s now entering an industrial design phase. cineAKS states that there is still a lot of development to go, but they are getting good industry feedback.
