Nikon ZR firmware update version 1.11

Untitled Project

Nikon has released a small firmware update for the Nikon ZR. The firmware update version 1.11 doesn’t add any new features, and it just provides fixes for a few small bugs.

  • Fixed an issue where the camera touch control would not respond as intended when [ON] was selected for [Touch controls] > [Glove mode] in the [SETUP MENU].
  • Fixed an issue where the set shutter speed changed when returning to S or M mode after switching to a user setting mode while [High-frequency flicker reduction] was enabled.

It would be nice if Nikon addressed some of the frustrating complaints that most users are aware of. There are still some major issues, including when you record internal audio from an external source with the timecode turned on. The camera will show that audio is present, but it won’t actually record anything. The only way around this is to turn the timecode off. This is, at least in my opinion, a design flaw. The camera is expecting both a timecode signal and audio from an external source for it to work correctly.

There is also the other issue where focus peaking doesn’t work when recording in REDCODE RAW (R3D NE).
