According to TCL, it delivers four major upgrades across picture quality, gaming performance, aesthetics, and audio, to redefine the all-around premium experience for personal desktops. It might make an interesting alternative to an Apple, Dell, LG, etc.

TCL, which recently aquired 51% of Sony’s television business, is the world’s second-largest television manufacturer.

The 32X3A has a 31.5-inch OLED+ panel that utilizes a multi-layer OLED light source that is integrated with proprietary image optimization. This allows TLC to create a very slim 6.4mm profile. The ultra-narrow micro-bezel full-screen design on all four sides means that the bezels are visually nearly invisible.

A lot of OLED displays currently exhibit colour fringing around text due to their unique pixel arrangement. When using OLED displays for office work or typing, you may see distinct coloured jagged edges around fonts. This causes text to appear blurred and not easy to read. According to TCL, the OLED+ technology in the 32X3A resolves this issue by utilizing a higher-definition matrix pixel arrangement.

The native 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution supports up to 240Hz, and if you are using it for gaming, you can switch it into an HD mode that supports up to 480Hz. As far as brightness goes, the 32X3A tops out at 1300 cd/m2, and it has a claimed contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1.

The OLED+ panel is claimed to cover 99% of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces, and it has a response time of 0.03ms.

The 32X3A comes with an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature, dual HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 2.1, and a USB-C port with 90W power delivery.

Like a lot of the TCL TVs, the 32X3A has a sound system that was developed by Bang & Olufsen.

Pricing & Availability

The TCL 32X3A is currently only available in China, where it costs 5,999 yuan, around $875 USD. It will roll out to the rest of the world sometime this year.
