Laowa has unveiled its new 35mm f/2.8 Zero-D Tilt-Shift 0.5x Macro lens. The lens allows you to capture very close subjects with a 0.5x maximum magnification and 22.8cm minimum focusing distance. The tilt function enables you to manipulate the image plane for both practical and creative effects, while the shift allows for perspective control.
Having a tilt-shift macro lens allows users to create a ‘miniature effect’, and the 35mm focal length allows you to achieve a pretty good depth of field from foreground to background without needing to stop down.

There is ±12mm of shift on Full Frame and ±8mm on Medium Format cameras, and ±10° of precise tilt on all formats. Please note that the lens is not compatible with the following Panasonic Lumix models: S52, S1M2, S1R2, S1M2E, and S5M2X.

The lens has a built-in 77mm filter thread, and the tilt-shift mechanism offers 360° rotation with 15° click stops.
The 35mm f/2.8 Zero-D Tilt-Shift 0.5x Macro features Laowa’s Zero-D (Zero Distortion) optical design, which is claimed to ensure pin-sharp, geometrically accurate images. Its APO (Apochromatic) elements are also said to deliver good color fidelity and edge-to-edge clarity.
