RED has expanded its trade-in program to include the KOMODO and KOMODO-X. Owners can now trade in these cameras for credit toward the V-RAPTOR XE or V-RAPTOR [X], opening access to the latest generation of the Z Cinema lineup. This credit applies toward a pack or a camera only.
Credits for eligible trade-ins are as follows:
- KOMODO: $1,000 USD
- KOMODO-X: $3,000 USD
These are pretty low trade-in prices, and if you already own a KOMODO, then it is arguably probably better to just keep it.
As a guide, a new RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO 6K Digital Cinema Camera (Canon RF) retails for $2,995 USD.
