Key features

  • New Capacities: Up to 120TB (4-bay) and 240TB (8-bay)
  • Powered by Seagate Mozaic 3+ drives with HAMR Technology
  • Ideal for 4K, 6K, 8K, VFX, and multi-stream editing
  • Thunderbolt performance in a rugged, portable form factor
  • User-serviceable components for extended product life

Seagate’s HAMR-based Mozaic technology enables dramatically higher areal density by briefly heating the disk surface with a precisely focused laser during write operations. This momentarily lowers magnetic resistance, allowing data to be written at much higher densities, then cools instantly to lock the data securely in place. The result is claimed to be vastly increased capacity with no compromise to long-term reliability or data integrity.

The company claims that SPARK Shuttle RAID with Seagate Mozaic drives provides speed, reliability, and endurance whether copying terabytes of rushes on set, editing multi-stream high-resolution content, or managing vast post-production archives.

SPARK features user-serviceable drives, fans, and power supplies. It has an all-metal enclosure, integrated carry handle, and quiet operation, making it suitable for use across studios, production sets, and remote locations alike.
