SWIT has announced its new FM-U245HDR 23.8-inch 4K HDR monitor that was designed for demanding field and live productions. It features an ultra-bright 10-bit 1000nit display, a full suite of 4K video interfaces, and a robust all-in-one flight case design.

The FM-U245HDR features a 23.8-inch 3840×2160 UHD LCD panel with 1000nits high brightness for outdoor visibility, and supports HDR gamma including HLG1000, PQ1000, and S-Log3. SDR gamma options (1.8/2.2/2.4/2.6) are also selectable to match various production needs.
Supporting both SDI and HDMI workflows, the FM-U245HDR accepts:
- 12G-SDI: 4 in / 4 loop
- 3G-SDI Quadlink: 4K in / loop
- 12G-SDI Quadlink: 8K in / loop (SQD or 2SI)
Users can view up to 4 inputs in Quadview mode, or two sources side-by-side (Pic-by-Pic) or overlayed (Pic-in-Pic). Each view can be independently assigned HDR/SDR gamma and color gamut.
Pre-installed in a robust flight case, the monitor includes an acrylic screen protector, sun hood, and detachable light stand adaptor compatible with junior and baby pin stands.
Two top cheese plates allow wireless receiver or accessory installation.
Up to 16 channels of embedded SDI audio can be monitored, with selectable 2-channel output to speaker or headphone. Advanced tools include Lissajous phase patterns and 5.1/7.1 surround visualization.
The FM-U245HDR includes waveform, vectorscope, CIE scope, histogram, false color, zebra, focus assist, and eye pattern to provide a full suite of visual monitoring aids.
It supports real-time de-squeeze for 1.33x, 1.5x, 1.66x, 1.8x, 2x anamorphic lenses and cropping. Includes built-in camera log-to-REC709 LUTs and supports uploading 13 user 3DLUTs via front USB-A port.
The monitor is equipped with a rear V-mount battery plate and supports AC 100-240V and 4-pin XLR 12-17V DC input for field flexibility.
