Waldman Media’s new MediaDB helps you create a database of all your hard drives. You can search for files, browse the directory trees while the drives are offline, and even use it for creating an RCP file from an EDL when conforming.

If you have a lot of hard drives with source material (or other files) on them, you might want to search for it without having to connect each drive. With MediaDB, you don’t have to. You can scan your drives and then put them away until you need a file, and you use MediaDB to find out which drive it is.

You can even import an EDL from your NLE, and it will find the files for you and tell you what drives they are on, and create an RCP file which you then can use with Resolve Collect to copy all the files.

Price & Availability

MediaDB can be purchased for $40 USD.

If you already own Resolve Collect, please e-mail [email protected] and get a $10 USD discount voucher. You can also buy MediaDB and Resolve Collect (Mac) as a bundle for $80 USD.

You can download a free demo version, although it will only scan the first 50 files on each drive, and it will not export an RCP file.
