Blazar MANTIS 1.33x Footage

Blazar has released some demo footage from its upcoming MANTIS 1.33x anamorphic lenses that debuted at NAB last month.

Above, you can see our interview with BLAZER at NAB 2025 in Las Vegas.

The lenses will be available in the following focal lengths:

  • 25mm T2.4
  • 35mm T2
  • 50mm T2
  • 75mm T2
  • 100mm T2.4

The Mantis Series 1.33X Full Frame Anamorphic Lenses were designed to have characteristics that are said to be closer to a 1.5x or 2x squeeze lens.

Mantis lenses come natively in PL and E mounts, with full support for EF, RF, Z, and L mounts. Thanks to Mantis’s interchangeable mount design, you can easily switch between all major mounts without needing to use an adapter.

Unlike the Remus series, the Mantis series Mantis lenses feature an impressive close focus capability, starting at 1.25 feet (0.38 meters).

Price & Availability

The Mantis series pricing should be fairly similar to the Remus series, and in terms of availability, the 35mm T2, 50mm T2, and 75 mm T2 are scheduled to be available in May. The 25mm and 100mm will be available in June.
