SmallRig has new accessories for the just-announced Nikon Z5IIC. These include a cage, an L-shaped grip, and a baseplate.
SmallRig Cage for Nikon Z5IIC
The SmallRig Cage for Nikon Z5IIC integrates a “HawkLock” quick-release NATO rail, 1/4″-20 threaded holes, ARRI locating holes, a cold shoe mount, a QD socket, and a wrist strap slot.
The cage supports accessories such as side handles, top handles, SSDs, DJI microphones, monitors, and iPads. It is made of lightweight aluminum alloy.
Cutouts throughout the cage give you access to the camera’s hot shoe, dials, buttons, flip screen, battery compartment, and dummy battery port. Protective pads and a three-point locking structure provide secure anti-twist mounting without removing the camera strap rings.
The bottom features an integrated Arca-Swiss plate for use with DJI gimbals and Arca tripods, helping improve shooting efficiency and enabling fast switching between handheld, tripod, and gimbal setups.

SmallRig L-Shaped Mount Plate for Nikon Z5IIC
The L-Shaped Mount Plate features built-in Arca-Swiss plates on both the bottom and side, allowing fast switching between horizontal and vertical shooting.
The bottom Arca-Swiss quick release plate has 1/4″-20 threaded holes and a lanyard hole. These mounting points support use with accessories such as DJI gimbals, tripods, and wrist straps.
The side Arca-Swiss design gives users full flip-screen movement, so the display remains unobstructed during low-angle shooting. By loosening the bottom screw, the side plate extends up to 22.0mm (0.9in) to maintain access for HDMI, charging, and microphone cables. The hinged battery door also allows battery swaps and dummy battery use.
SmallRig Bottom Mount Plate for Nikon Z5IIC
The Bottom Mount Plate was designed to improve grip comfort and provide basic expansion for the camera. It raises the camera height by approximately 13.0mm (0.5in).
It is for users who do not need the added functions of a cage or L-bracket but still want basic expansion capability. Made of aluminum alloy and weighing only 79.5g (2.8oz), it helps protect the bottom of the camera from scratches while providing basic tripod mounting for portable shooting.
The baseplate features a built-in Arca-Swiss quick release plate, along with multiple 1/4″-20 mounting holes and a lanyard hole, allowing switching between tripod use and handheld shooting without the need for a separate quick release plate. It also supports use with DJI gimbals and allows a lanyard to be attached at the bottom.
