Insta360 has released firmware update 1.1.8 for its Luna Ultra gimbal camera that includes support for the new Luna Ultra Super-Telephoto Lens.
The Luna Ultra Super-Telephoto Lens ($49.99 USD) was designed to be attached to the front of the Luna Ultra’s telephoto camera. It increases the focal length by 1.5x. The standard camera cannot be used while this lens is attached.
With the new firmware, a new Stage Mode has also been added that was designed for use at concerts and similar events. When the Luna Ultra Super-Telephoto Lens is attached, a confirmation message will appear asking whether to enable this mode.
The camera also now supports 4K recording in portrait orientation. In addition, several other enhancements have been made, including the ability to shoot in 3:4 portrait orientation and use Beauty Mode in Photo Mode.
