The system comprises a TX and RX unit. The TX has an HDMI 1.3 input and an HDMI 1.3 output. The RX has two HDMI 1.3 outputs.
The HDMI output port on the TX allows video signals to be displayed on a monitor. The units are claimed to also be HDCP compliant to ensure that your material can’t be accessed by others. The system doesn’t support the transmission of timecode.
The Thunderbolt provides H.264 encoding and decoding of up to 1080p60 video, and it utilizes the 5 GHz spectrum (5.18 to 5.24 GHz & 5.745 to 5.825 GHz). Desview claims that the latency is as low as 60ms. Please be aware that these latency claims are usually only when sending material at frame rates of 60p. The system also utilizes automatic frequency hopping, which allows it to automatically choose a frequency channel that provides the strongest signal.
The Thunderbolt TX and RX can be powered via a 5V USB-C power supply, or you can utilize the L-series/NP-F battery plate on the back of each unit.
Both the TX and RX weigh 6.9Â oz / 197g, and they have physical dimensions of 4.1 x 2.8 x 0.6″ / 104 x 70 x 16mm.
