Equipped with dedicated DRAM cache and 232-layer 3D TLC NAND, this SSD is designed to handle high-resolution RAW files and high frame rate material.

Key features

  • High transfer speeds: Achieves claimed read speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s across all capacities. The 2TB and 4TB models, in particular, deliver high-speed performance with write speeds of 13,000 MB/s and random access speeds of 2,100K IOPS.
  • Three capacities to suit project scale: Available in three variants—1TB (for OS and applications), 2TB (a balanced mid-range model) and 4TB (for long-form video and large-scale AI models).
  • Designed specifically for creators and AI users: Ideal for users who wish to carry out high-resolution RAW processing, produce 4K and 8K aerial footage, set up local AI environments, and even handle everything from game recording to editing on a single PC.
  • High reliability and support for the latest features: In addition to a 5-year limited warranty, it supports Microsoft DirectStorage, which speeds up the loading of games and assets.

The maximum sequential read speed is claimed to be 14,000 MB/s across all capacities: 1TB, 2TB and 4TB. The maximum sequential write speed is claimed to reach 10,000 MB/s for the 1TB model and 13,000 MB/s for the 2TB and 4TB models. It is important to know that in real-world environments you are not going to reach these types of speeds.

The 2TB and 4TB models also deliver random read performance of up to 2,100K IOPS. These specifications are designed with production environments in mind, where frequent access to small files, the loading of source material, cache updates, saving and exporting occur simultaneously, in addition to the continuous transfer of large files.

Internally, the SSD manages mapping information that links the logical addresses of data recognised by the PC to their actual storage locations on the NAND. As data is moved around due to wear levelling and garbage collection, the controller must continuously keep track of which data is currently located where.

When a file is copied to the SSD, the data is first written to the high-speed SLC cache area and then organised into the TLC area by the controller. By having the dedicated DRAM cache efficiently manage the location of data and the SLC Dynamic Cache support the initial stages of writing, the system can handle workflows involving multiple concurrent read and write operations.
