MID49 has a bunch of accessories for Sony’s just-announced FX5. Despite its capabilities, the FX5 is still a small-sized camera that will require accessories to be used in some shooting environments.

A new handle rod clamp for the Sony XLR-H2 allows a sideways 15mm to be attached without a cage.
Users can install the TWIST Mount EVF System and new EVF Extension Cable for the Sony FX5. This means you can use both the optional DVF-EL1 Electronic Viewfinder and the XLR Handle with 96 kHz/32-bit float audio at the same time. This overcomes a major usability hurdle if you want to have your cake and eat it too.
Swing-away power plates will be available in V-Mount and Gold Mount with 3x power outputs, including reversible D-Tap, 2-pin LEMO, and 3-pin Fischer with R/S capability.
The quick-release baseplate includes both sliding ARCA and ARRI dovetail interfaces and a lens adapter support system.

The new Sony FX5 EVF Cable / Handle Riser has the same footprint as the new XLR handle, providing compatibility with 3rd party cages. You can also attach the original Sony XLR-H1 with this adapter!

Side mounting points on the EVF Cable end allow for direct connection to the TWIST Mount EVF Knuckle.

The cable and brackets allow the EVF to be centered over the handle area when a compact, handheld setup is required.
More cage components and pricing will be announced soon.
