After many years, Pelican has finally updated its Protector line with the new Protector 2.0 series. The new series gets upgrades in build, mobility, usage, and accessories.
The Protector 2.0 series consists of the following:
- Pelican 1400 Protector Case with Foam $124.95 USD
- Pelican 1510 Protector Carry-On Case with Foam Interior $269.95 USD
- Pelican 1560 Protector Case with Foam Interior $289.95 USD
- Pelican 1650 Protector Case with Foam Interior $404.95 USD
Pelican is utilizing a new HPXP polymer build material to increase their impact and UV resistance, stability, and longevity, especially in harsh environmental conditions.

Additionally, the cases also feature a brand-new push-button latch system that is similar to what is found on Pelican’s Storm Press & Pull and AIR push-button latches. This makes the Protector 2.0 cases easier to open, especially with gloves. The latches also offer better catch retention under certain drop conditions.
The integrated wheels on the 1510 and 1560 Studio cases are now wider and feature better-quality wheel housings. The cases are also available with a divider set and lid organizer.
Pelican has also introduced Gridpoint Panel Kits and Modpak Utility Pouches. The panel kits that are available for the 1510, 1560, and 1650 cases convert the unused lid space into a modular organization system that’s MOLLE and hook-and-loop compatible. The Modpak Utility pouches are an extension of that modular system, designed to keep essential equipment protected, organized, and easily accessible.
The pouches come in four sizes, Extra Small, Small, Medium, and Large and they are also compatible with EZ-Click MOLLE panels and Aegis backpacks.
