DZOFilm has announced its new Octopus II Lens Adapters. These allow users to adapt PL lenses to various mirrorless mounts such as Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Leica L.
The new Octopus II is significantly lighter than its predecessor. The Sony E version weighs in at 190.1g (204.6g with the base). The previous version weighed 390g. According to DZOFilm, it relies on a high manufacturing precision of 0.01mm and a reinforced structure, ensuring it remains as reliable as a native mount even after 100,000 cycles.

DZOFilm has increased the internal space by 7.12%, which means it can now accommodate a wider range of lenses. The new version also features a better locking mechanism, and it was redesigned to make mounting and unmounting much easier than the previous generation. The detachable 1/4″ threaded base shifts the center of gravity to the adapter, relieving stress on the camera body.
