Bright Tangerine was showing a new ARRI Locking Shoulder Pad at Cine Gear 2026. The new shoulder is based on the ARRI Dovetail rather than the current model, which uses a VTC style. This locking style lets you release the camera quickly, so you can pull the rig off the Dovetail rather than slide it off.
The locking mechanism arm is relocatable to keep it out of the way of either the front ARRI Roseete or the shoulder bpad that can slide out for customizable comfort.
One advantage of the ARRI Dovetail design is that the shoulder pad is much more adjustable, as the VCT isnt blocking it from sliding all the way past the back of the camera, giving the user more adjustability. Like the VTC model, the shoulder pad slides to the inner side for better adjustment options.
Adding a Bud Plate will give you more mounting options as well.
