DJI drone users have an opportunity to share concerns directly with FCC decision-makers

FCC DJI Drone

Since January 2026, U.S. drone users have been left behind by the FCC Covered List, which has stopped all new drones from being sold in the US. You can buy parts for DJI drones released before January 2026.

Now, American drone users can directly express their opinions to decision-makers to reverse the current situation in which new drone products are being kept out of the US market.

DJI appealed its inclusion on the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Covered List in February 2026, citing a lack of due process and a lack of a fair opportunity to respond. The FCC has also blocked newly released DJI gimbals, such as the Pocket 4. This was a bit of a surprise, as originally it was only drones.

The FCC is now seeking public input on whether to grant this appeal through Monday, May 11

All US-based drone users, from public safety agencies and small businesses to hobbyists, are encouraged to share their experiences on how DJI drones impact their work, businesses, communities, and daily lives.

The Drone Advocacy Alliance has published detailed instructions on its website for submitting a comment to the FCC
