TLS has announced its new rehoused Angénieux 45–90mm T3.5 Cine Zoom Lens, which is touted to offer full‑frame performance with the soul of a vintage cine zoom.
First introduced in 1969, this iconic zoom has been reengineered for modern production, preserving its signature Angénieux look of soft rendering, gentle highlight bloom, and natural colour, while delivering the precision and reliability expected on today’s sets.

Designed for versatility, the 45–90mm focal range allows for anything from mid-shots to intimate portraiture. It features a true parfocal design, while minimal focus breathing keeps transitions smooth. Featuring 15 elements in 12 groups within an all‑metal barrel, the lens combined durability with versatility. A two‑touch zoom and focus design and a close‑focus distance of approximately 1 metre made it practical for a wide range of shooting styles, while remaining compact for its class.
The lens features a newly developed precision cam-driven focus system that provides accurate, repeatable control, all housed within a compact, lightweight body with a 95mm front diameter.
