Project ETERNAL by Antigravity and Insta360 is a collaboration to turn 360 footage from historic sites into 3D archives. This is all with the goal of preserving the places that matter for future generations. It is done by capturing historical sites with drone-powered 360 imaging and turning them into immersive 3D archives using Gaussian Splatting.
Using Antigravity’s Al drone, CyArk documented the iconic Italian heritage sites of Pompell and Civita di Bagnoregio. 3D Gaussian Splatting was then used to create immersive 3D digital environments of these locations to safeguard their shared legacy. CyArk’s Tapestry platform was used to create interactive narrative experiences for each location, allowing anyone to explore these iconic heritage sites up close.
