Tilta has a range of new cage options for the Canon EOS R6 Mark III. Like most cages, they were designed to provide more robust protection and to allow users to mount accessories.
Tilta has three different versions available:
- Camera Cage for Canon R6 Mark III Lightweight Kit
- Full Camera Cage for Canon R6 Mark III
- Half Camera Cage for Canon R6 Mark III
The cages support both the Canon R6 Mark III and R5 Mark II camera bodies. They also feature a magnetic multi-tool and anti-ccratch Silicone padding.
Other features include integrated 1/4″-20 locating points and a built-in Arca-Swiss bottom plate. The Full Cage also includes a pre-installed 3/8″-16 to 1/4″-20 adapter, and a cold shoe mount for quick accessory expansion.
A dual-standard cable clamp secures USB-C cables (0.2-0.31 in/5-8 mm) and HDMI cables (0.26-0.47 in/6.5-12 mm) to reduce strain, prevent accidental disconnects, and protect camera ports. There is also full access to the battery and media ports.
The Full Cage weighs just 0.34 lb/152 g (excluding cable clamp) and features a three-point locking system secured at the bottom and both sides.
The lightweight half cage (0.21 lb/97 g) delivers a streamlined setup without compromising on durability. Utilizing secure dual-point mounting at the base and grip.

The foundation of this kit is the Full Camera Cage, which provides increased protection for the Canon R6 Mark III as well as the Canon R5 Mark II. It features silicone padding to absorb shock and better reduce wear on the camera body.
This cage serves as the foundation to mount additional accessories via mounting points such as a Cold Shoe Receiver, 3/8″-16 and 1/4″-20 Threads with Locating Points. The included 3/8″ to 1/4″ adapter helps expand mounting options for top handles.
Included in this kit is the Xeno Top Handle, which connects to the Top Plate via 1/4″-20 and improves handling via an elegant design with increased clearance.
The handle features multiple mounting options for additional accessories, including 1/4″-20 threads and a Cold Shoe Receiver, perfect for mounting an external monitor. The included Cable Clamp mounts to the side of the cage and provides additional security for a USB-C and HDMI Cable.
The inclusion of thumb screws makes this accessory quick to adjust as needed. The ARCA Bottom Plate makes it easy to use this system with DJI gimbals and other ARCA Receivers like Tilta’s 15mm LWS Height Adjustable Baseplate.
