Tilta Boulder Camera Cart XL

The new Tilta Boulder Camera Cart XL was made specifically for productions that need more space and higher payload capacity.

It features expanded dimensions and a reinforced galvanized steel chassis so it can support up to 500 kg / 1102 lbs while maintaining a flat, stable working surface for larger camera builds, power systems, monitors, and wireless setups.

It was designed as a natural evolution of the standard Boulder Camera Cart, and the XL version expands both horizontally and vertically, giving crews the freedom to build larger, heavier, and more organized workstations.

Above, you can see the differences between the standard Boulder cart and the XL.

With a substantially increased working surface, the Boulder XL allows you to load more gear without stacking or crowding, keeping equipment accessible and workflows efficient.

Whether supporting multiple camera builds, power systems, monitors, or wireless video setups, the XL provides the room and stability needed for high-demand environments.

Structural strength is at the core of the Boulder XL. The cart is constructed from high-strength galvanized steel with a reinforced rear spine and cross-beam framework that resists flex and deformation in both horizontal and vertical directions.

Even under extreme loads, the top tray remains flat and stable, ensuring confidence when handling heavy cases, block batteries, and sensitive equipment.

Users can expand or reconfigure their setup without replacing existing components. Enhanced mobility, upgraded wheels, and improved handling complete a cart that is built to move effortlessly between locations while supporting the heaviest on-set demands.

The XL also has upgraded 10-inch wheels and additional directional casters.

New Accessories

There are also a ton of new accessories like the Extended Umbrella Kit and Sunshade for the Boulder Camera Cart XL, which allow crews to customize their setup for sun protection, lighting control, and efficient on-set workflows.

The Tilta Sunshade for Boulder Camera Cart Extended Umbrella was designed to create a controlled, low-glare viewing environment for on-set monitoring and video village setups. This looks to be a pretty decent and affordable solution, especially if you own a Boulder Camera Cart.

The sunshade panels attach directly to the umbrella using integrated hook points for quick installation. Each panel is extended in length to reach the ground, allowing users to weigh down the fabric with sandbags or other securing methods to prevent unwanted movement in outdoor conditions.

Hidden magnetic attachment points along the panel edges allow multiple panels to connect seamlessly, closing gaps between sections and forming a more complete blackout enclosure when using multiple panels together.

This modular system enhances monitor visibility while maintaining mobility, making it ideal for directors, DITs, and focus pullers working in bright or variable lighting environments.

The Tilta Sunshade for Boulder Camera Cart Extended Umbrella is available in 4-panel configurations for front and back coverage and 2-panel configurations for side coverage.

The 2-Panel Sunshade for Boulder Camera Cart Extended Umbrella is $49 USD, and the 4-Panel version is $99 USD.

To use the solution, you would also need to have the Tilta Extended Umbrella Kit for Boulder Camera Cart, which costs $249 USD.
