Meike has announced its new 85mm f/1.8 Mark II Full-Frame Autofocus Lens that comes in Canon EF Mount. It is perhaps a little strange to see a Canon EF mount lens being released in 2026, but for owners of older digital cinema cameras that feature an EF mount, maybe it is good news!
Compared with the 85mm f1.8 SE Mark I, the 85mm f1.8 SE Mark II is claimed to feature less CA, better image quality, faster focusing speed, and a closer focusing distance (0.65mm / 2.55″ MFD).
It can also be attached to any Canon R-mount camera via a MK-EFTR-A/MK-EFTR-C adapter.

The lens weighs 346g / 0.76 lb, and the optical design consists of 11 elements in 7 groups with 11 aperture blades. The front filter diameter is 62mm.
