Desview has unveiled the Blade 5 Pro, its flagship OLED camera monitor. The Blade 5 Pro features a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 self-lit OLED screen, 100000:1 contrast, and it covers 100% of DCI-P3.

I’ve often wondered why someone doesn’t just make a monitor that is essentially just a smartphone screen with inputs; well, it looks like Desview has.

The Blade 5 Pro was designed to be thin, just 13mm / 0.5″, and lightweight. It tips the scales at just 207g / 7.3 oz. The weight of Blade 5 Pro is very similar to that of an Apple iPhone 17 Pro.

The USB Type-C interface combines power supply with high-speed data transmission, paired with HDMI loopout and headphone monitoring.

According to Desview, each monitor undergoes rigorous panel screening and full-screen color uniformity control, and is individually factory-calibrated using a hardware 3D-LUT.

Desview states that the Blade 5 Pro supports multi-point capacitive touch with millisecond response. Swiping menus and adjusting parameters are claimed to be as intuitive as using a smartphone.

The monitor has the usual array of video assist tools, and you can load up your own user LUTs.

The casing of the monitor is made from aviation-grade aluminum, whose excellent thermal conductivity provides very efficient heat dissipation, and it’s equipped with a silent fan for cooling.

You can power the Blade 5 Pro via a Sony NP-F battery, or through USB-C or from mains power using the DC input.
