Tilta has announced a new Extendable Shoulder Pad Baseplate for Camcorders, designed with an articulating and extendable shoulder pad to help enhance operating comfort for camcorders and similarly sized cameras.
The baseplate uses a secure quick-release plate with two points of contact and offers up to 100mm of forward travel for easier balancing or a clearer view of the monitor.
The shoulder pad extends 118.5mm in the opposite direction to create more room for fine-tuning shoulder balance and improving access to rear electronic viewfinders.
In its extended configuration, the pad can articulate, allowing operators to brace the baseplate against their chest for more stable lower-angle shots and a comfortable third point of contact without adding extra weight.
The design provides unobstructed access to the camera’s battery slot and includes front 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads for mounting an additional quick release plate to transition onto a tripod or support system.
Additional 1/4″-20 threads with locating points along the side support accessories such as the Mini PD Battery Plate.
