Laowa has officially unveiled its 200mm F2 AF FF full-frame lens. The lens is available in Sony E, Nikon Z, and Canon EF mounts.
The lens weighs 1.59kg / 3.74 lb for the Sony E and Nikon Z mount versions. The Canon EF mount version is 1.78kg / 3.51 lb.
It has a 105 mm front filter diameter, and the Sony E and Nikon Z mount versions have a rear filter slot where you can put in various filters such as VND, CPL, etc.
Laowa told me that the optical performance will be very good. It is claimed to have excellent edge-to-edge sharpness and nice round bokeh.
The closest focusing distance is 4.92′ / 150 cm, which is pretty good for a 200mm prime lens.

The built-in 43mm rear filter holder offers photographers a practical and cost-effective solution for using ND and other creative filters. As a compact alternative to bulky 105mm front filters, it delivers the same professional-grade results while reducing both weight and expense—streamlining your workflow and enhancing flexibility on the go. Note: This feature is only available on Sony E and Nikon Z mount lenses. The filter thickness must be less than 1.5mm.

The FN button allows you to assign a frequently used function for quick access, such as ISO, white balance, autofocus mode, or drive mode.

You can loosen the knob to adjust the position of the lens support, making it easier to change the orientation of your camera while maintaining stability.

The lens includes a dedicated support bracket that easily attaches to tripods using the Arca-Swiss mounting system.
Some EF to RF adapters on the market enable EF lenses to function with autofocus on Canon RF camera systems. These adapters offer added versatility for photographers looking to expand their gear across platforms while continuing to use their trusted EF lenses. Compatibility may vary depending on the camera model and the adapters.
Pricing & Availability

The Laowa 200mm F2 AF FF is now available for $1,799 USD for the Canon EF version and $1,999 USD for the Sony E and Nikon Z mount versions.
