Jurassic Park is a great franchise with a great story and that Spielberg energy. I loved the first two and the other six are good too.
It’s no small feat to make a version without the master himself, but it looks like the film is in good hands with Gareth Edwards. He made a bold move, insisting on shooting Jurassic World Rebirth on film using Kodak film stock.
Director Gareth Edwards describes Rebirth as “a love letter to Steven Spielberg.” Determined to capture the original Jurassic Park’s magic, he insisted on shooting on 35 mm film to achieve a “naturalistic, cinematic quality.” He aimed for a balance of humor, awe, and “very scary, very intense moments.”

A Fresh Take with Familiar DNA
Set five years after Dominion, Rebirth introduces a new lead trio—Scarlett Johansson’s ex‑CIA operative Zora Bennett, Mahershala Ali as ship‑captain Duncan Kincaid, and Jonathan Bailey’s paleontologist Henry Loomis—on a mission to recover dinosaur DNA for a pharmaceutical breakthrough
Edwards frames their dynamic as akin to the Brody‑Hooper‑Quint triangle from Jaws:
“It’s that kind of triangle between three different overlapping characters… less of a love triangle and much more of a competitive ‘who’s the alpha in the group?”
Writer David Koepp—who penned the original Jurassic Park—echoed Edwards’s return to form, calling the screenplay a “streamlined mission‑driven” throwback to the original’s tone
The film looks great in the BTS, and you’ve got to love the passion! I think seeing it on the big screen is a must. Let’s go to the movies!
